Easy, No-bake Cookies With Chocolate Bits

Last weekend, I was drowning in an abundance of tests and assignments that required extensive amounts of studying for. However, I was still craving something sweet-- something that would satisfy my demanding palate for sugar. As a result, I adopted and twisted around a recipe that I had originally seen in a Youtube video by Simplybaking (I think), about five months ago. By improvising this recipe and adapting it to suit my needs for chocolate, I was able to create a piled high plate of cookies within a few very, very quick minutes.

Ingredients:

-1 cup of all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of butter, completely melted
-1/3 cup granulated, white sugar
-2/3 cup brown sugar
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 of family sized chocolate bar; cut into fine pieces. (I used Lindor's wrapped chocolates, three pieces worked just fine)

Steps:

1. Mix all the dry ingredients (the flour, sugars, and salt) together in one bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, mix the liquefied butter and vanilla extract together,
3. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together; make sure to mix thoroughly.
4. Mix in the chocolate pieces into the dough.
5. Place the dough in a 9x11 glass dish (or whatever suits you).
6. Cover the dish with parchment paper/wax paper and freeze for about 10 minutes or so.
7. Remove from freezer, cut up the cookies, and enjoy!
8. (optional) Use cute cookie cutters to cut the cookies into fabulous shapes, because we all know that cookies taste better when cut up into fancy shapes.
